Social Studies concepts and skills are integrated into our literacy block and taught through the use of fiction and non-fiction texts, videos, and inquiries.  We use a variety of resources, including Scott Foresman's Passports to World Communities and Engage NY's Common Core learning modules.

Our main focus of study includes: 

• Continents and Oceans
• US Geography, History, Government, and Economy 
• Cultural Similarities and Differences (Japan, Zambia, Brazil, Spain, and Australia)
• Timelines of Events
