Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate fosters a positive classroom environment, delivers engaging instruction, and supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students while working collaboratively with colleagues. This is a four-year probationary (tenure-track) position.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with state standards

• Implement district-adopted curriculum with fidelity while supporting vertical alignment across grade levels

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

• Utilize assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress

• Collaborate with colleagues through team planning

• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs

• Support students’ social-emotional development and positive behavior

• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Elementary Education

• Strong classroom management and instructional skills

• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and best instructional practices

• Preferred experience or background in literacy instruction

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Commitment to equity and meeting the needs of all learners

Job Details

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Teacher Aide to support classroom instruction and help create a positive, engaging learning environment. The Teacher Aide works closely with the classroom teacher to assist with daily activities, provide student support and supervision, and ensure smooth classroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher with instructional activities and lesson preparation

• Assist in maintaining a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

• Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess

• Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources

• Provide support to students with varying academic, social, and behavioral needs

• Assist with clerical duties such as copying, organizing materials, and data collection

• Promote positive student behavior and model appropriate social interactions

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success

Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed

• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude

Position Details

• Reports to the Bus Garage at 6:40 AM on school days
• Midday return between 1:00-1:30 PM
• Concludes at approximately 3:30 PM
• Member of the Transportation Association collective bargaining unit
• Includes health insurance benefits
• Minimum salary: $9,209 (2025–26 school year), with an anticipated increase in 2026-27

SUBSTITUTE SCHOOL NURSES NEEDED. Fabius-Pompey CSD is currently hiring Registered Nurse substitutes. Candidates must possess a valid Registered Professional Nurse license issued by New York State. Job Qualifications:  Current CPR/ AED training; Current RN certificate; Able to follow District procedures and guidelines for health care and medications; Able to follow doctor's orders for student medications; Excellent communication and telephone skills; Strong work ethic; Confidentiality; Able to interact with students, parents, and staff; School experience is preferred but not required; Fingerprinting through the New York State Education Department is a requirement for working in the school district.  Interested candidates must complete an application and attach copies of their CPR/AED and RN certificate.
