Health Care Tips
- Wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water for 20 seconds.
- Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough.
- Keep your hands away from your face and eyes. Cold and flu viruses enter the body through your nose, mouth and eyes.
- Wipe down and clean surfaces: Chromebook, phone, etc.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Wear sunscreen and insect repellent when you go outside. Use as instructed with the assistance of an adult.
- Wear your helmet when riding a bicycle and/or skiing/snowboarding.
- Hydrate and eat healthy foods.
- Get plenty of rest/sleep at night.
- Exercise daily and try to get outside and play!
***Emails and phone messages are checked periodically throughout the day but only on school days during school hours.
ATTENDANCE POLICY - If your child is absent or tardy for any reason, you will need to contact the health office with the reason/excuse.
EXCUSES - Legally, we must have written excuses concerning the reason a student was absent. All absences are considered unexcused/illegal if no excuse is provided. Please refer to the student/parent handbook for a full description.
Parents/Guardians can send in a signed, written note or an email. Both will be accepted as a written excuse.
TARDINESS - When a student arrives at school after the morning announcements:
- Elementary tardy: student is signed in at the main office.
- Middle School/High School tardy: student signs into the attendance Chromebook and receives a pass before going to class.
Notify the school of any changes in your emergency contact information (home phone number, cell phone number and or address change).
