 SAT/ACT Updates
 
Priority registration for the August, September, and October administrations is open now for students in the class of 2020 or 2021 who don't have an SAT score.  Later this week registration will be open for all students.

Hudson River College Cruise
Bard, The Culinary Institute of America, Marist, RPI, Vassar, and West Point are excited to announce their first-ever virtual Hudson River College Cruise.  The collaborative and informative event about the college search process will take place on Tuesday, June 9th and Wednesday, June 10th.  The "cruise" will allow students to hear from college admission experts at each institution.  For more information visit:  https://www.marist.edu/hrcc.

Pompey Lions Club Scholarship
The Pompey Lions Club is offering 3 scholarships:  1 to a student attending a 2-year college, 1 to a student attending a 4-year college, and one to a student attending a trade school.  The deadline to submit the scholarship to the Lions Club is Friday, May 29, 2020.  The scholarship application can be found in the link to the right.

The Fabius-Pompey Association of Parents, Teachers, and Students is offering two scholarships.  The Beverly Clark Scholarship for Communication and Business and the APTS Volunteer Scholarship.  Both applications are listed to the right.  Due dates are June 12, 2020.

Summer Pre-College Programs at Carnegie Mellon
For over 100 years, Carnegie Mellon has offered students unique and hands-on educational programs from the fine arts to technology and everything in between.  Through the Carnegie Mellon Pre-College Program, rising juniors and seniors in high school have the opportunity to experience this.  Please see your counselor for more information on the various programs being offered this summer.

Remind App
Contact the Counseling Office for instructions on how to sign up for “Remind”.  Remind is a new app the Counseling Office will be using to remind parents/students of events, deadlines, etc.  Information was mailed home to Seniors and Juniors, and will be forthcoming for other grades.

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

Syracuse University Summer College
Summer College is offered June 27 - August 7, 2020 at Syracuse University.  Some of the areas of study are:  Art & Design, Business & Leadership, Culinary Arts, Engineering, Musical Theater, and Sports Analytics.  All programs have enrollment limits.  Contact them for more information at summercollege.syr.edu or 315-443-5000 for more information.

SUNY ESF
ESF offers two field study programs:  The Adirondack Field Studies Program and The Marine Field Studies Program.  Both are one week in the summer.  For more information please contact Chris Leece, STEM coordinator, OCM BOCES, cleece@ocmboces.org or 315-533-2661.

Alfred University
Alfred University offers residential high school institutes and sports camps during the summer.  Some include:  Astronomy, Basketball, Chamber Music, Creative Writing, Drone/Robtoics Camp, Equestrian, Swimming, and Theater.  More information and an online application can be found on their website at www.alfred.edu/about/community/summer-camps/residential-camps/index.cfm.

Le Moyne College
Le Moyne College is offering students entering their junior or senior year of high school the opportunity to participate in their Summer Scholars Program.  Summer Scholars can earn college credit while saving more than 50% on tuition.  For more information go to their Summer Scholars web page.  Deadline for applications:  no later than May 20 for Summer Session ! and no later than June 25 for Summer Session II.
