Volunteer Program Information
Barbara McKenney, Volunteer Coordinator
An enormous thank you goes out to all of the volunteers who helped with all of the end-of-school-year activities – the picnics at the Middle School-High School and Elementary School, the Inside Outside Tea, all of our fun spring field trips and the Elementary School Fun Day. We couldn’t have these fun events without your help, so thank you again!
Kudos go out to our 8th graders who volunteered their time and services for over 550 hours this school year as part of their 8th Grade Community Service Project! The 8th grade students helped with babysitting during A.P.T.S. meetings, concessions and clean-up for A.P.T.S. Movie Nights, concessions for the home varsity soccer and basketball games, the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged, the local Crop Walk, the CNY Bread Run and various local church suppers.
One final heartfelt THANK YOU to anyone and everyone who has helped with anything this school year, be it once for half an hour or on a weekly basis. YOU make this program work! We are able to provide our students with awesome programs to enrich and enhance their educational experience because you are always willing to help out. Thank you all again for your expertise, your energy, your enthusiasm, your diligence, your smiles, especially for your TIME and for always saying “YES!”
On a personal note, as many of you know, I will be retiring at the end of this month. I want to thank all of you that have said “YES!” to me and this program since it began in 1995. I wish everyone a wonderful, relaxing summer and remind everyone to please continue to say ”YES!” to Ashley Welch when she contacts you next fall. If you would like to volunteer next fall or have any questions concerning the Volunteer Program, please contact Ashley at (315) 683-5301 or (315) 683-5811 (ext. 2135), or send her an email at email@example.com.
