November Senior Student of the Month
Benjamin Stroh has been chosen as Fabius-Pompey’s Senior Student of the Month for the month of November. Ben has made many impressive contributions to our school community over the years and even started his own business last year. Ben has been actively involved in Tech Club since 6th grade and has been President throughout his high school career. He has also run for our Varsity Cross Country team and been a member of Fayetteville-Manlius’ swim team since his freshman year. He was chosen as a captain of the FM team this season and has made it to State Qualifiers each year for his butterfly and distance free events. Ben was also awarded the Citizenship Award during his sophomore year and has had perfect attendance for his entire high school career!
Last year, Ben built on his work as the Senior Sound Designer for FP by opening his own business, BPS Pro Audio, which provides professional audio services and mobile entertainment for school, weddings, and various events in the region. He said his top piece of advice for younger students would be to “find something you enjoy and pursue it without fear.” Ben has certainly done this with his own entrepreneurial efforts. “I saw a need in our area and realized it was a way that I could use my expertise to provide a service to others.” Ben also piloted, designed, and implemented our new digital message board system during his sophomore year, which displays daily announcements in the high school lobby and cafeteria. He has worked hard throughout high school to create professionalism in our technical theatre program and has actively sought out ways to bring in new methods of technology and communication to our school community. Next year, Ben plans to attend college to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Audio Production Design.
