The Middle School Student Government held its annual food drive December 9^th through 13^th.  The Salvation Army of Syracuse dropped off three large barrels to be filled with nonperishable food items to benefit their distribution center.  Then the Middle School Government went right to work to help make the holiday season brighter for those in need.
 
There was a contest, in which each Middle School homeroom participated.  The homeroom that brought in the most donations would win a Dunkin Donuts breakfast.  The winner, with 206 items, was Mrs. Lang’s 7^th grade homeroom.
 
The three barrels, plus several filled boxes, were picked up by members of the 174^th Fighter Wing to be delivered to the Salvation Army.
